What's the RIM Industry? I had no idea myself before internationally known RIM Industry Marketing maven, Tom Adams, of RIMpro Marketing, contacted me about helping him develop and maintain "lead generation" web sites for his clients.
RIM stands for Records & Information Management, which includes such services as Records Storage, Document (Paper) Shredding, Document Imaging, Backup Tape Storage a/k/a "Media Vaulting," and other related services.
Before meeting Tom I never knew that most large businesses hire subcontractors to handle these responsibilities for them. These subcontractors are our clients. We build and maintain their lead-generation web sites.
Lead-generation web sites are designed and used to attract "warm leads" to our clients. Warm leads are prospects interested in the RIM services our clients offer and come to them! Leads don't get any warmer than that!
